The Heroes of the Third Kind, or in short H3K, is a Dutch experimental electronic ambient and downtempo duo.
Formed by Monotron_nl and Arplover in 2003 after their band ‘Habanero’ split up.
Their music style is influenced by a wide range of music styles, such as techno, drum and bass, dub, downtempo, trip-hop, ambient and often incorporates elements of jazz and psychedelic rock.
